Only The Brave by Diesel is an Amber Woody fragrance for men.

It was launched in 2009 and was created by Alienor Massenet, Olivier Polge and Pierre Wargnye. The perfume has top notes of Amalfi Lemon and Mandarin Orange, middle notes of violet, Virginia cedar and coriander, and base notes of amber, leather, benzoin, French labdanum and styrax.

Only The Brave perfume is a collaboration of Diesel with the house of L’Oreal, and is the first solo edition aimed at men. This perfume will hit the market in late March or early April, depending on your region.

This special edition was inspired by the founder of the Diesel brand, Renzo Rosso, who on his 50th birthday gave himself an RR tattoo on his wrists. The perfume is directly associated with the holding company Only The Brave owned by Rosso, as well as the charitable foundation of the name.

The Only The Brave perfume bottle is a real glass sculpture, in the shape of a fist, colored in smoky-gray shades, with a silver ring with an inscription of the Diesel brand. The perfume concept emphasizes oriental accords, leather and wood, which are masculine, determined and bold, with clear contrasts.

The perfume opens with masculine and modern notes of leather, which is closely associated with the Diesel brand itself. The composition is refreshed with lemon and sparkling, fresh aromas, adding amber and cedar wood accords. The perfume was developed by three noses of the house of IFF: Alienor Massenet, Olivier Polge and Pierre Wargnye.

Only The Brave is a fragrance for all men who chose to be heroes. Its composition presents the harmony of oriental-woody notes which leave a strong impression. The play of contrasts between the fresh notes of lemon and mandarin with violet, cedar and coriander is leading us to warm accords of amber together with hints of leather (styrax and labdanum) and benzoin in a base. The vibrancy of the lemon introduces its bright sparks over a romantic floral heart and leaves a warm, leathery resin trail in the fragrance’s base notes.

The music video is still being polished and the print ad campaign is complete with black and white portraits. The photographer of the campaign is the British Platon, who has photographed many famous people, including President Barack Obama. In the advertising photos, Tony Ward, actor and model, appears among others.

The Only The Brave perfume range includes eau de toilette in three sizes: 30, 50 and 75 ml, with 100 ml lotion and aftershave balm, 200 ml perfume bath and 150 ml deo spray.
